Unkle released "Burn My Shadow" video. Once again with bomb explosion. This time starring Goran Visnjic whom we met in "Spartacus". Vocal perfomance The Cult's leader Ian Astbury. The song itself will be released released on June 25, and is taken from the band's forthcoming album "War Stories". What else can we say? Unkle is Unkle.
This track is being expected to be one of the best from this album. Perhaps this is why Unkle released it on SELF DEFENSE 4 CDs set in mixes only :
1 Burn My Shadow (Junkie XL remix)
2 Burn My Shadow (Aidan Lavelle remix)
3 Burn My Shadow (Dan F remix)
This release is followed by Night's Temper Limited Edition EP that was on sale in the beginning of May and was sold out almost immediately.
Lots of people are waiting this track and I can asure that you'll be able to download it the same day it's out since I have already preordered one copy with overnight delivery.
So you are welcome to read our RSS chanel to get it first cause I'm going to share it the same day.

Unkle - War Stories new 2007 album
Electronic titan James Lavelle's UNKLE project is progressing on its third studio album, which is presently being mixed in London and expected for a summer release.War Stories was recorded in the Joshua Tree desert outside Los Angeles, CA at the Rancho de la Luna studio (home to The Desert Sessions recordings from the likes of PJ Harvey, Nick Oliveri, Josh Freese and many others) and in London at James Lavelle’s new Surrender Sounds studio. The album comprises of fourteen tracks of epic proportions.
Often criticized for relying on famous guests to complete his albums, James Lavelle of UNKLE has once again gathered together several of his distinguished musician friends for the group’s third LP War Stories. Along with James’ studio partner Richard File, half of the 14 tracks feature other artists, including Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age), Gavin Clark (Clayhill), Ian Astbury (The Cult), The Duke Spirit, Autolux and 3D (Massive Attack) with co-production by Chris Gross (QOTSA).
In a departure from the previous two albums, most of the instrumentation on War Stories is played live. Jeordie White aka Twiggy Ramirez lends his bass playing skills to “Burn My Shadow; Psychonauts’ Pablo Clements plays synth on “Twilight, “Morning Rage" and “Restless"; Nada Surf’s Matthew Caws contributes guitar riffs to “Broken"; Eagles of Death Metal’s David Catching also plays guitar on songs “Hold My Hand, “Morning Rage" and “Tired Of
Sleeping; and producer Chris Goss adds his various musical talents (guitar, synth, bass, organ) to many songs throughout album. There are also full band collaborations from Autolux and The Duke Spirit.
The Cult lead singer Ian Astbury has recorded vocals for three songs. Astbury sings on first single "Burn My Shadow," while Homme augments "Restless." "I have a great admiration for James Lavelle as an artist," he said to Billboard. Astbury also raves about the contribution from Los Angeles rock act Autolux: "Their track is amazing," he says.
James Lavelle makes his vocal debut on this album, singing on “Hold My Hand as well as dueting with Richard File on “Morning Rage. Rock icon Ian Astbury of The Cult lends his
world-weary drawl to “Burn My Shadow", the first single to be taken from War Stories. Built on the pulsating, insistent beats for which UNKLE are known, it ebbs and flows between
foreboding and abrasiveness. Some people call this release a "rock-indie-hip-hop amalgam produced with dance music techniques".
War Stories will be released on James Lavelle's new label, Surrender All, marketed and sold by Red Ink, a division of RED Distribution. The label is part of the Surrender All stable that
connects James Lavelle’s famously broad range of interests in music, fashion and art through one independently run axis. Surrender All is the record label, which will be a home for exciting new talent, whatever its musical persuasion, with the aim to push boundaries in the same way that Mo Wax did. James has also set up the Surrender clothing line and the Surrender Sounds studio in London. Co-produced by UNKLE and Queens Of The Stone Age producer Chris Goss, War Stories marries UNKLE’s trademark sound with traditional rock influences to stunning effect.
